ADC Skills Workshops are convenient, cost effective way to meet CLE and National Mediator Accreditation Standards CPD requirements.

ADC workshops are highly interactive skills development sessions designed to hone the specialist skills of the mediator. Our workshops form a cornerstone of ADC’s Professional Development program for experienced and newly qualified mediators. Mediation practitioner-trainers conduct sessions focused on different topics each month.

Join us in Person

Participants located in Sydney please join us face-face at the Centre. Participants will enjoy one hour of instruction from on our industry best trainers. Participants can then break out into small groups to practice and hone the skills covered during instruction. Our trainer will be there to provide feedback to participants.

Webinar

ADC’s alumni are spread out across Australia and the globe. Join us from anywhere nationally or internationally through our webinar. Each session is recorded and all registered participants will have access to the recording within a week of the event. Participants have the flexibility to join us live or watch the seminar at a time of their own convenience.

Form a Webinar Group!

We encourage our alumni and dispute resolution practitioners to form small groups to participate in the workshop session. Small groups will be sent workshop materials in advance so they can practice with their peers. Any questions or comments that arise can be answered by our leading training faculty live through the WEBINAR.  Participants are encourage to engage with our trainers to get direct feedback.

Flexibility

ADC’s flexible webinar workshop will allow you to keep current from anywhere and anytime.

Participants are eligible for 1.45 hours of CLE/CPD points who can join us for the full lecture and workshop. Participants who can only join for the first hour of instruction are eligible for 1 hour of CLE/CPD.

This Month

Trainer

Val Sinclair has been a full time mediation practitioner for over 25 years Val is a qualified and experienced trainer, coach and assessor of conflict resolution skills and dispute resolution processes. She has written, developed and presented Dispute Resolution Training for numerous workplaces, organizations mediation providers and government departments.

Val is past president of the Australian Dispute Resolution Association (ADRA) and past chair of the NSW Chapter Committee of Resolution Institute. In September, 2015 she was awarded an Industry Practitioner Award tor the contribution to the professional development of others in dispute resolution. She was a Director of the Mediator Standards Board until 2017.

Topic 

This month’s session is all about managing difficult situations in mediation. Learn how plan and implement appropriate intervention to get past an impasse. Practice micro-skills to assist in option generation and evaluation.
