Level Twenty Seven Chambers is Queensland’s largest group of barristers and is widely recognised for the quality, depth, and consistency of its work in commercial dispute. Its members practise across a broad range of areas, including commercial litigation, construction, insolvency, corporations law, and regulatory disputes, and are frequently briefed in complex, high-value matters at both State and national levels. The Chambers has developed a strong reputation for combining technical advocacy with strategic, solution-focused dispute resolution, making it a key player in Australia’s ADR landscape.
Level Twenty Seven Chambers has also been at the forefront of innovation within the Bar, particularly in modernising how barristers engage with ADR. It has played a leading role in integrating technology into dispute resolution practice, enhancing efficiency in case management, communication, and hearing processes. The Chambers was also among the first in Queensland to introduce structured practice management and clerking services, improving accessibility and coordination for solicitors and clients engaging barristers. In addition, its purpose-built facilities, including dedicated mediation rooms and seminar spaces, support collaborative dispute resolution processes and professional development within the legal community.
Beyond individual matters, the Chambers contributes to the broader development of ADR through thought leadership, education, and professional engagement. Members regularly participate in seminars, training, and industry discussions, helping to shape best practices in mediation, arbitration, and expert determination. This commitment reflects a broader focus not only on resolving disputes, but on advancing the effectiveness and accessibility of ADR as a whole.
The Chambers’ excellence has been consistently recognised at a national level, including being awarded ADR Chambers of the Year at the Australian ADR Awards for three years. Level Twenty Seven Chambers is also listed among Australia’s leading sets of Dispute Resolution in the Chambers & Partners’ 2018 – 2026 guides and is a top-tier set for Commercial Disputes and Construction in the Legal 500’s 2021 – 2026 guides. Approximately 36 members of the group have also been individually recommended in The Legal 500 and the Doyle’s Guide to the Australian Legal Profession and the Australian Financial Review’s Best Lawyers. These accolades reflect its sustained commitment to high-quality advocacy, innovation, and leadership in dispute resolution.
Level Twenty Seven Chambers stands out as a progressive and influential institution within the Australian Bar, combining advocacy excellence with a forward-thinking approach to ADR and a strong commitment to supporting both clients and the wider legal profession.
We congratulate them for their induction into the Australian ADR Awards Hall of Fame.
