Not in my long lifetime have so many been so excited to start a new year. From the team at the Australian Disputes Centre we wish you a very happy 2021, brim full of health, happiness and success.
ADC has enjoyed a celebratory start to its year. Commemorating 35 years since its establishment, and its first mediation training with Sir Laurence Street, we have just completed our 35th Anniversary Mediation Training and Accreditation Programmes. I extend my thanks and congratulations to all participants for their hard work on the courses, and wish them great success as mediators. I also extend warm thanks to The Hon. Chief Justice Tom Bathurst AC and the Hon. Terry Sheahan AO for their generous contributions to these special Anniversary courses.
ADC has a full line-up of professional development training for you throughout 2021. From our flagship Mediation programmes, to our ever popular Conflict Resolution & ADR, Negotiation, Facilitating Difficult Discussions and Bullying & Harassment Prevention, ADC’s depth of training experience ensures we have ‘something for everyone’ in our suite of layered learning programmes. Over the past few years ADC’s Supreme Court ADR Address series has carved out a major following across the country. On 18 February we are privileged to host Justice Sam Doyle presenting the 3rd Annual ADR Address of the Supreme Court South Australia. For litigation lawyers and experienced mediators ADC’s prestigious Masterclass and Advanced Mediation Accreditation Programme “Mediating in the Headlights of Litigation and Arbitration” is back, and is online from 26 – 28 March.
ADC has been working hard to keep our clients safe during the pandemic, with online training, virtual rooms and COVID-safe protocols at the Centre. Our rooms at 1 Castlereagh St are open for bookings in 2021. Originally opened back in 2010, by Attorneys General The Hon. Robert McClelland and The Hon. John Hatzstergos MLC, to support ADR in Australia, the custom-built rooms are convenient, light and spacious. ADC will be keeping you up-to-date on the current social distancing requirements throughout the year.
