Word from the CEO

In line with our commitment to advancing ADR in Australia, we endeavour to provide up-to-date resources that assist commercial Australia, and Dispute Resolution practitioners in their work. Our materials are updated regularly to ensure relevance and contemporaneity, and our team at ADC has been hard at work in ensuring that these updates are rolled out in a timely manner.

This month, we released new sample clauses and ADR guidelines for 2019. They may be downloaded on our website free of charge.

In an exciting initiative, ADC will be launching its new Financial Services Dispute Resolution procedures on 20 March 2019.

To help you leverage Australia’s growing Arbitration sector, or simply to know more about it, we are delighted to invite you to a dynamic panel seminar on International Commercial Arbitration (ICA) on 21 March 2019. Five of Australia’s leading ICA practitioners will share their insights and experience in this growing market. Given the level of interest for this important panel event we are simulcasting it live around Australia, and I encourage you to register early.

I am thrilled to announce that The Hon. Chief Justice Michael Grant will be presenting the inaugural ADR Address at the Supreme Court of the Northern Territory on 30 May 2019. We very much look forward to his Honour’s Address.

The month of May is seemingly just around the corner, and we are already receiving calls about the annual Australian ADR Awards. Nominations are opening on 1 May and we hope to see your nominations in 2019!

Best Regards,
Deborah Lockhart
